Oaklands is a thriving special school based in Isleworth and serving the London Borough of Hounslow. Oaklands pupils aged 11 – 19, have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism.
Oaklands is at an exciting point in it’s development; our student numbers have already increased by one third during the past 4 years and we are currently working towards further expansion and full school relocation to a purpose built new school in Hounslow for September 2018. Once full, Oaklands will operate on two sites, will have primary, secondary and college departments.
We require a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ICT technician. You will have experience and skills acquired from similar roles to support the school systems.
The main objective of this role is to keep the day to day ICT facilities in the school up and running to support student learning and teachers’ use of ICT in the classroom, so learning and the work of the school continues uninterrupted. This involves managing the day to day ICT resources, consumables and stock.
The successful candidate should be well motivated, organised, able to work independently and possess good technical and communication skills.

31.25 hours per week, 42 weeks a year, term time only including INSET days + 3 weeks during school closure.
Hours of work: 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday
