ULink College Guangzhou is a Grade 9 to12 British curriculum secondary school. Their students are Chinese native speakers, who must pass an English proficiency exam for admissions. All graduating students study abroad in the UK, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Europe and Australia. The school is located on a beautiful campus in a semi-rural zone of the Pearl River Delta and within easy reach of Hong Kong, Macau, and Shenzhen.
We require a well-qualified graduate to teach Cambridge IGCSE-Level English (ESL and EFL).
The English department is composed of ten teachers. The curriculum, although preparing students for IGCSE qualifications, is focused primarily on preparing students with the academic and social English skills they will need for studying and living in an English-speaking country.
Their ideal teacher is passionate about teaching and can inspire motivated, talented and enthusiastic Chinese students. The successful candidate is likely to have experience of teaching second language students as well as having background knowledge of IGCSE or GCSE or have taught the GCSE English language and GCSE English literature (UK National Curriculum.
Package:
- Salary scale: between RMB 21500-28000/month, before tax (depending on degree, teaching certificate, experience)
- Housing allowance: RMB 4500/month, after tax and school will provide up to 7 days accommodation in a hotel for teachers so they can find an apartment and settle in
- Flight reimbursement: Up to RMB 12000 per year
- Monthly meal allowance: RMB 500
- Shipping allowance: RMB 4000
- 50% discount on tuition fee for dependents
- Medical Insurance
- Working visa plus assistance from HR
Requirements:
- Min. BA in English
- Teaching qualification (PGCE or other)
- Min. 2 years of teaching experience
- Experience with teaching EAL is a plus!
