International Community Schools are on the lookout for exceptional English teachers with IGCSE experience for the academic year 2023/2024.

As a school that provides high-quality education following the American & British Curriculum, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes. They should possess the energy and enthusiasm to engage, enthuse and motivate learners.

In addition to the above, the successful candidate must be aligned with the school's core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.

The responsibilities of this role include delivering inspiring lessons, teamwork and collaboration, effective communication, building positive relationships with the school community, planning engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum, working flexibly, liaising with parents, and working cooperatively with curriculum support staff (where applicable).

Teaching and learning responsibilities include having a clear understanding of the Curriculum, organizing the classroom provision and learning resources, planning and presenting sessions that cater to the needs of the whole ability range, motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching, observing and assessing children, being reflective of classroom provision, and meeting with other professionals as required.

Assessment and data responsibilities include taking responsibility for the progress of a class, using data to influence planning and intervention, and providing feedback to parents and careers.

Behavior management and duties responsibilities include following the school's behavior policy, managing classes effectively, maintaining good relationships with pupils, being a positive role model, promoting self-control and independence, and carrying out duties as directed.

To qualify for this role, the candidate must be a native-level English speaker and They should preferably have a PGCE, or PGDE with a Bachelor's degree in English language or a related field, a minimum of 3 years of experience as an English teacher, experience with the American/British Curriculum, previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language, a passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child, a high level of professionalism, recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities, respect for all members of the school community, and a positive and solution-focused attitude to working life. They must also have a clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
