ROLE PURPOSE:

Actively engage the students in the British curriculum using balanced teaching tools and foster a positive environment of learning & growth

KEY ROLE SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITY: 

Description of the Accountability Performance Indicators (How accountability is measured)

 Plan collaboratively for student learning using a range and balance of teaching strategies and tools from the British curriculum

 Prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities 

 Curriculum planning is consistently measured as “outstanding” by Senior Leadership Team

 90% students will meet expectations in subjects as measured by the education board and local assessments (excluding children with Special Education needs)

 Timely proficient Documentation of curriculum mapping and lesson planning

 Observe and evaluate student’s performance on a daily/weekly and timely basis and action as necessary

 Ensure calm and sensible behaviour is observed always through the application of fair and consistent discipline

 Student performance data to show an improvement from the previous AY 

 Comprehensive marking schemes and accurately assess students’ performance

 Behavioural (No. of Behaviour based suspension)

 Physical health data report (No. of sick days for students)

 Absenteeism report 

 Meet with Parents /guardians to discuss the student progress feedback and improvement plans 

 Meet with the parents three times per AY to enhance communication and cooperation

 90% of families will respond positively to the survey questions on student development and staff interactions

 Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by the law, local policies and administrative regulations 

 Student data to be updated daily (attendance sheets)

 Participate in staff, group or other meetings related to the school curriculum or pastoral care arrangements 

 Primary staff meeting scheduled weekly to monitor student performance and plan future academic development

 School Teams (Whole School Team) to meet 3 or more times in AY to review school’s strategic plans 

 Advise and co-operate with the Head Teacher, Heads of Department and other teachers in the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programmes, methods of teaching, assessment and pastoral care arrangements 

 90% of the staff will respond positively to the staff survey questions regarding the professional support in academic development throughout the year

 Provide guidance to students on educational and social matters 

 90% positive feedback on counselling survey report

 Develop familiarity and awareness of all school policies and procedures listed in the Staff Handbook 

 Updated knowledge on staff handbook and school policies and procedures

 Keep up to date with developments in their subject area, new resources, methods and curriculum objectives 

 Updated knowledge on developments in the subject area, curriculum

 Prepare pupils for qualifications and external examinations 

 No. of students who got selected in the university/institutes of their first choice

 Additional responsibilities/duties as required 

 Fulfillment of the additional responsibilities as desired

PERSON SPECIFIC: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree/ degree in subject area (BA or B.Ed. or PGCE- Post Graduate certificate in education/specific content area 

Minimum Experience and Knowledge: Minimum of two years of teaching experience in a British curriculum school
