We are looking for two fantastic Inclusion Assistants to join our outstanding pastoral team, assisting Year Leaders to support students’ behaviour, attendance and welfare.

  • Role: Inclusion Assistant – 2 posts available
  • Reports to: Pastoral Leader
  • Hours: 36 hours per week, term time and inset days
  • Contract: Permanent 
  • Salary: Grade 5, scale points 6 – 11 [£20,043 - £22,129 pro rata / £17,316 - £19,118 actual]

About the role

You will play a central role within the pastoral team, supporting our students as they navigate daily school life. With a focus on student welfare, behaviour and attendance, you will work closely with our team of Year Leaders to support students and their families to drive engagement with school and to help them flourish in education. It is a busy, fast paced role that sits at the heart of the school, providing a vital link between students’ home lives and their development in the classroom. You will join a team of energetic and passionate practitioners with a wide range of skillsets and expertise, supporting our students as they expand their knowledge and build critical cultural capital to succeed in life. 


About you

We wish to appoint a highly motivated, passionate individual with high expectations and the ability to build strong relationships with students. You will have a real commitment to driving student engagement and securing the best possible life chances for our young people. You will be able to work closely with Year Leaders to support different strategies to meet students’ needs, and be a proactive role model of the school’s values of positivity, ambition, resilience and thoughtfulness. This role requires excellent organisation, planning and prioritising skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will need to relate well to students, parents, staff and other professionals, and build positive relationships across the whole school community.
