As a British school based in the UAE with brand new facilities on a large scale, we are seeking a committed, dynamic and passionate SEND coordinator to join and grow with our international team. This role is across EYFS and Primary, working closely with academic and pastoral line managers in the identification and support of children with additional needs. As an inclusive school, a number of our pupils have learning needs that require additional, specialist support.

As a Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) coordinator, you will work with children and young people who need extra support or require an advanced programme of learning.  Pastoral care and inclusion are themes that are already deeply ingrained in our school.

You may work with individuals who have physical disabilities, sensory impairments (i.e. hearing or visual), speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties such as dyslexia, conditions such as autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, or have a combination of these difficulties.

You may also work with gifted and talented individuals, a key aspect of working in this field is identifying individual needs and being responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment to reach their full educational potential.

A passion for excellent teaching and a determination to develop one’s professional self and take on additional responsibility are key attributes to our future colleagues and as opportunities for responsibility are commonplace as the school grows, those who are dynamic as well as committed, are in a favourable position to take advantage of such advancement. It is envisaged that this role will grow as the school develops with strong opportunities for responsibility.

Our requirements are that you:

--> Be fully qualified and experienced Inclusion/SEN teacher with a relevant Bachelor Degree in Special Education or related field and relevant professional teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, teaching diploma or certification

--> Have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in teaching preferably in a school delivering the National Curriculum of England.

-->Have the drive to see children learn and excel both academically and as people.

--> Have strong communication and team working skills.

--> Be dynamic and proactive

--> Have a proven track record of success.

--> A passion and drive to excel personally and professionally.

--> A drive to see children learn and excel both academically and as people.
