We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual to join our forward thinking Student Support and Special Educational Needs (SEN) team. Recent experience of supporting students in 1:1 or small group settings is highly desirable, as is the ability to present complex information in an accessible way and to build purposeful relationships with 'hard to reach' students and parents . Experience of working as a student mentor or within Alternative Provision would be advantageous as is experience of working in a diverse education environment.
The successful candidate will meet the requirements set out in the Person Specification. In line with the schools' values, they will also need well-developed organisational and communication skills. A good understanding of school systems and procedures would be preferable. The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties including; understanding barriers to learning, matching support and intervention programmes to individual needs, working with subject staff and other leaders to provide a cohesive and developmental curriculum, managing effective transition into the Inclusion Centre and back in to mainstream lessons, building relationships with parents and building confidence and self-esteem.
