Inclusion Manager 

Scale PO1, point 33 – 36 (£31,170 – £33,444 per annum, payable pro-rata)

36 hours per week, 46.6 weeks per annum

Commencing as soon as possible

Heathcote School is an 11 – 18 School that has a new Headteacher and a new vision. The school is on a rapid journey of improvement ensuring the ‘good’ status (Ofsted 2014) is retained and for the school to ultimately become ‘outstanding’ in all areas. 

The School Improvement Plan (2017 – 2020) focuses on four key areas:

· Building at all levels an ambitious culture of high challenge and low threat enabling Heathcote to be the school of choice for staff and parents.

· Ensuring the best possible learning and leadership of learning, across the school.

· Ensuring safety is at the heart of everything we do and standards of behaviour and attendance are exemplary within the school and community.

· Giving all pupils equal opportunities to make maximum progress. 

We are looking to recruit a qualified and talented Inclusion Manager to take the lead in ensuring pastoral interventions for pupils (including managing pupil behaviour) are implemented and appropriate systems are used to track, monitor and evaluate pupil progress, especially for vulnerable pupils. The role will play a key part in reducing exclusions, improving engagement and ensuring the development of high performing, impactful behaviour systems in school. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience of all areas of Inclusion within secondary schools, with an awareness of the range of strategies available to address the differing behaviour needs which exist in the mixed ability classroom, with a focus on ensuring pupils with SEMH needs are supported and enabled to succeed.
