Salary Scale:  Full time Equivalent Salary £21,322-£23,541 AAT Grade 5 SCP 10-15 to be paid pro-rata for 37 Hours Per week, Term Time only 

Oak Academy is seeking to recruit a full time Inclusion Officer – DDSL, to improve the life outcomes and opportunities for our students and their families. 

The role of the Inclusion Officer is to support the pastoral team with the management and response to behaviour and safeguarding. Primarily this includes working with individuals and/or small groups to resolve difficulties causing concern as quickly as possible to promote learning and well-being. 

We require a passionate and committed colleague who has a willingness to:   

• To promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils in your care or that you come into contact with, in accordance with the Trust Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.

• To act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure that the academy meets its statutory duty. 

• support and contribute to the work of the pastoral team in managing behaviour and safeguarding

• foster and sustain collaborative links with relevant agencies, practitioners and the academy community

• manage statutory returns to the Local Authority and Governing Body

The role will have a travel requirement and an enhanced DBS is necessary which will include clearance for visiting families in their homes.
