Nexus is located in Putrajaya, near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Established in 2008 as part of the Taylor’s Education Group, we currently enrol 700 students from Early Years to Year 13 who learn through the IPC, IGCSE and IBDP curricula. We have an inclusive admissions policy and and our student body includes learners with learning and language needs as well as exceptionally academic and talented children.
The student population is made up of over 30 different nationalities giving our school a truly global character. Previous international experience is not required, but the desire to work in a diverse international community is essential. All staff are also expected to contribute to the co-curricular programme. Nexus is committed to developing personalised learning so that all learners, given their individual gifts and talents, are challenged and make progress. The successful candidate will work to support learners with a variety of needs. In additional to our mainstream Learning Support provision, Nexus also offers our Alternative Pathway programme. This is a bespoke programme for a group of learners with higher needs who may spend at least half the week in specialised small classes. A typical week might include some small group teaching, in class support, meetings with teaching teams to advise, assessing new applicants or preparing IEPS. The ability to support Maths or Science would be advantageous. The Inclusion team comprises 10 staff including specialist teachers, teaching assistants and a Speech and Language therapist.
