HOURS OF WORK: Term time only, Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week
We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to our Primary team as an Individual Needs Assistant. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join a fantastic team. For this role, the successful candidate must have experience in supporting a child on the autistic spectrum.
Our ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted judgement (June 2015) was only the start of the story. The challenge is to sustain and embed this excellence through every aspect of Gildredge House as it grows to full capacity in 2018/19.

Your role will be essential in working alongside a student with additional needs and challenging behaviour to ensure they not only learn effectively, but also enjoy school and take a full part in wider school life. The successful candidate will work with the student both inside and outside of lessons and during social times to make sure their time at school is as enjoyable and meaningful as possible.

Starting salary: three point salary range starting at Point 13 on the Gildredge House Support Staff Scale 2017-18: £7,292pa pro rata (£16,230 FTE) rising to Point 15: £7,581pa pro rata (£16,872 FTE). You would be required to work 41 weeks per year (includes 36.4 weeks of term-time plus 1 week of INSET plus 3.6 weeks’ paid holiday), and 20 hours per week.
