Individual Needs Assistant

£12,944 a year (30 hours a week, Term Time)

To start as soon as possible until July 2022


Priory is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. The school is consistently oversubscribed yet has a genuinely comprehensive intake.  The Governors of this successful school seek to appoint, a temporary Individual Needs Assistant (until July 2022).

The successful candidates will be capable and caring people, who are able to provide SEND support for students with a high level of academic and/or physical needs, in a mainstream setting. Experience with supporting student access to the mainstream secondary curriculum would be beneficial.

Manual handling training can be given. 

Desirable skills and Experience:

• Experience working with young people with additional needs in an educational setting is desirable, though not essential.

• An understanding of autism and the potential impact on learning

• A commitment to Inclusion

• An  empathetic and flexible approach

• Ability to work with the class teacher and as part of the Inclusion Team.

The hours of work are 30 hours a week term time.  The grade is Grade 3, Scale point 7, £18,562 pro rata.  The actual yearly salary is £12,944.
