Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket (SSHL) is one of Sweden’s most renowned schools, with its historical roots dating back to the 1920s. Located just north of Stockholm, SSHL is a boarding school that currently has just under two hundred boarders and around four hundred and fifty day students with representation from around forty five different countries. Working very much within a Swedish conception of international education, SSHL offers students two clear routes through the school; via the IB MYP and DP programme, as well as through the Swedish National Curriculum from Year 7 upwards.
Our ambition is to constantly work for the pupil’s best.
SSHL is now seeking applications for an IB MYP Individuals and Societies teacher (100%) - this role will involve working with MYP2-4 students, continuing to develop and deliver an integrated humanities programme (Geography, History, Civics and Religion) and also working on developing an specific MYP5 course with a focus on Economics/and or Business.
Your profile:
Ideally, you will hold qualified teacher status or similar and have experience working in an independent or international school setting.

You will be able to develop positive relationships with all members of the school community and you will be committed to delivering a high quality educational experience. The desire to take responsibility and the capacity to adopt a solution-oriented approach to your work is vital, as is the ability to manage time effectively.
The position is available from August 10, 2016.
