The Learning Resources Centre service provides high quality learning resources and support to staff and learners of the South Thames College Group. Service delivery is through cross Group E-Learning Support and through Learning Resource Centres situated at each college. The Information and E-Learning Assistant will work in both of these areas of service delivery.

E-Learning Support services for the Group include the provision of a virtual learning environment (VLE) platform which enables high quality teaching, learning and assessment. You will provide set up, administrative and content support for the VLE and other e-learning systems and assist in the delivery of staff technical support, training and development.

Learning resources centres provide physical learning spaces, resources in print and online, and help desk services. You will work as part of the LRC team in a range of work areas, including frontline service delivery to learners, to support their positive use of resources. The experience gained in the post would benefit progression towards a qualification in the library and information fields.

All that we ask is that you hold a Level 4 qualification (in any discipline), have exceptional IT skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and web based applications and have experience of working in a busy customer focused environment, delivering a high level of customer service. You’ll need excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to adopt an approachable manner when dealing with customers along with strong communication skills to allow you to handle enquiries, provide training and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

Closing date for the return of completed applications is 22nd November 2018.
