Job overview

The IT Teacher will be responsible for the developing, planning, maintaining and implementing the academic and IT infrastructure at St Piran’s. The role will require the candidate to plan, monitor, record and report on the appropriate lessons to children ensuring that they know how to use ICT safely. 


The ideal candidate will have:

  • a proven track record as an outstanding teacher and leader of IT
  • a strong sense of teamwork and good drive and initiative; very enthusiastic and motivated with an excellent ’can-do’ approach
  • an appropriate leadership style in line with the school culture
  • a degree or equivalent in Information Technology
  • a strong understanding of running an ICT function in academic; or complex, environment
  • knowledge of safety and safeguarding requirements
