Job overview

The Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Lead will be responsible for coordinating, developing and promoting a portfolio of ITT programmes to team members. The post holder will also be required to provide high quality teaching, learning and assessment to trainee lecturers as well as other lecturers in the College as part of their annual CPD. This includes the delivery of inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of agreed programmes. 

Other key responsibilities include providing a model of best practice in addition to undertaking associated tutorial duties and contributing to the quality improvement of teaching, learning and assessment across the College, including acting as mentor and plan and deliver training and CPD.  

You should be able to demonstrate experience of delivering ITT programmes with good achievement and ability of using observation to improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. 

Also desirable but not essential is an experience of leading or coordinating ITT programmes.  The post holder should hold a relevant degree and a level 5 Diploma in Education and Training including a specialist pathway or equivalent.

Cambridge Regional College is a co-educational further education college located in Cambridge. Providing places to students aged 14 and over, the college has several thousand learners young and old, full and part-time. Cambridge Regional College has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation over the years, and as such can boast of a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities, with the most recent major development, which opened in 2011, providing the college with a brand new Low Carbon Centre. The college also plays host to a number of vocational teaching workshops and study areas.
