About the role

Guardian Angels has a vibrant, unique and diverse Music program. We're growing our Instrumental Music Tutor team and are looking for a guitar- bass and acoustic and percussion tutor. 

 At Guardian Angels, Instrumental Music Tutors are expected to:

  • Have high expectations of themselves and their students
  • The ability to teach beginner students and more advanced students in the private Instrumental Program
  • Ability to foster and develop the Instrumental Music Program
  • The ability to lead or accompany instrumental ensembles if required 
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues 
  • Effective time management skills
Please note there is potential to establish program at Aquinas Collage as well.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.


Estimated start date: 
Commencing June/July 2023

Weeks worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure duration (where Fixed Term)

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: To be negotiated

Salary level, range or hourly rate: 2023 MTAQ recommended rate of tuition - $80 per hour

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
