Interim Head of Youth Programmes

Full time, 6 months contract, maternity cover, Start August 2016

Who are we?

The Jon Egging Trust is a dynamic and innovative youth engagement charity. Over the last four years we have improved the life-chances of over 5,000 vulnerable young people.

The Trust was set up in honour of Flt Lt Jon Egging, who lost his life following a display at the Bournemouth Air Festival in 2011. He was coming to the end of his first year with the world famous Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team ‘The Red Arrows’ flying in the position of Red 4.

The Jon Egging Trust currently has two main youth programmes: Blue Skies and Inspirational Outreach.

Blue Skies works with young people 12 – 16 years old over 3 years through a set and standardised curriculum, in partnership with a particular school in each region and military and civilian partners.

Inspirational Outreach works with children and young people from key stage 2 through to school leavers participating in bespoke programmes developed in partnership with schools to meet specific needs.

The Jon Egging Trust is looking for a highly motivated and professionally qualified youth worker or teacher with significant manager experience, and preferably a connection to the military, to lead the Youth Programmes Team and the BTEC qualification and assessment.
