About Bishop Stopford's School

Our school has been at the heart of the community for fifty years, delivering outstanding education for generations of North London residents.

Providing a dynamic, modern and exciting learning environment where academic successes go hand in hand with  a powerful community ethos that puts each individual child at the centre and ensures a nurturing and harmonious environment. I, the Governors and the very experienced team of staff at Bishop Stopford’s  School, are committed to highly inclusive education.

At the centre of all our work here is the concept that, ‘the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body’ 1 Corinthians 12:12.

We believe that there are opportunities to learn everywhere and that a breadth of curriculum and extra-curricular  experiences inspires pupils to engage in a life-long love of learning.

Our ‘outstanding’ judgement for behaviour and attitude to learning in both our Ofsted and SIAMS inspections are  indicative of living our everyday lives with five key values in mind; consideration, respect, loyalty, responsibility  and success. We ensure that all pupils believe in themselves, strive to excel and in doing so, succeed in the future,  contribute to their community and take up positions of influence in society.

Bishop Stopford’s School is a friendly and welcoming school, offering excellent care, guidance and support, alongside  academic achievement.

Vision Statement

We believe that everyone in our community is capable of achieving beyond their expectations by living  each day in all its fullness; spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally and morally. We are underpinned by deep rooted values of respect, consideration, loyalty, responsibility and success.

1 Corinthians 12:12 “the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body,  though many, are one body.’’
