Start date: September 2019
Contract type: Full Time
Salary: Competitive
Contract term: Permanent

Since becoming an academy in September 2009, Kettering Buccleuch Academy has seen many exciting changes. We are an all-through academy catering for students aged 4-18. We moved into our new, purpose-built building in January 2013. Under recent new leadership, the academy continues to go from strength to strength, with happy and motivated staff, a supportive culture and plenty of opportunities for personal growth with our excellent staff CPD offer. We offer a range of benefits including United Rewards, covering lifestyle and retail benefits including childcare vouchers, a car lease scheme, cycle to work etc., subsidised meals and an on-site gym which is free for all staff to use.

The role

Working time: Between 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, Term Time plus Training Days (39 weeks per year)

We are seeking a motivated, mature person to join our staff as the Internal Exclusion room Supervisor.  This role is a fundamental driver for ensuring exemplary behaviour in the academy.  The role involves supervising students in the internal exclusion room, ensuring that the KBA standards and expectations are met.  You will oversee the systems and structures in the room to ensure that all relevant information is communicated to staff effectively and efficiently.

About You

You're a personable, motivated person who likes to see the best in everyone but can also inspire others to want to succeed.  You have high level communication skills and communicate effectively with all stakeholders including students, parents, staff and the senior team.  The ability to form appropriate relationships with and gain the respect of students is essential.

United Learning

Kettering Buccleuch Academy is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
