Positive behaviour is key to ensuring that Compass School Southwark is a great place to work and to learn. Internal Exclusion is a serious sanction imposed on students in Key Stage 3 and 4 for non-adherence to our school community’s policies. Students placed into internal exclusion follow a timetable and complete work for the lessons which they are missing, under the supervision of the appointed candidate.

The Internal Exclusion Supervisor will provide a complementary service to the existing teaching and pastoral team in the school.

The Charter School Bermondsey Formerly (Compass School Southwark)

The Charter School Bermondsey, was established in 2013 with the firm determination to become an exceptional local school. In a relatively short span of time, we have become the preferred choice for many families in our community.

Our school has gained recognition for offering a distinctive educational experience to the children under our care which combines a rigorous academic curriculum with the development of the whole child, personally, and socially as we guide them towards happy, healthy and successful adult lives.

Our goal is to be a world-class institution renowned for its exceptional academic achievements alongside creative, community and sporting opportunities.

Our brilliant and dedicated staff team will work to develop a global perspective in our students and help them achieve their ambitions. Within the Charter School community, we firmly believe that every child can reach their full potential, provided they receive the appropriate support, inspiration, and challenges.

We have identified four core values—aspiration, integrity, exploration, and resilience—that form the foundation of our approach. These values permeate all aspects of school life, including our daily routines, curriculum, and enriching experiences, ensuring a cohesive and supportive environment.

I look forward to working alongside you to ensure that The Charter School Bermondsey offers an incredibly inspiring education for all students.
