Internal Quality Assurance is the process of monitoring assessment within an approved centre. Hadlow College is looking for a part –time IQA in Employability Provision, to support assessors and check their competence and also to act as a link between the assessors and the awarding body.

This role will include offering advice and support, so that assessors’ training needs are met and so that assessment practice is done to the national standard. The IQA is also responsible for collating records and for monitoring the flow of information between assessors and the awarding body.

Applicants will have experience of teaching and a proven ability to assess/IQA the subject at all levels. They will have a recognised teaching qualification or at least have the willingness to work towards one. Literacy and numeracy skills at a minimum of Level 2 are essential, as is a Level 3 vocational qualification. Qualification V1 or D34 are also a requirement of this role and candidates must show at least 3 years’ relevant post qualification experience.
This is a part time position, working 2 days per week.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
