HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week

SALARY: A basic salary supplemented by an incentive-based reward that should provide the candidate with the opportunity to earn between £35 -40,000 per annum

ANNUAL LEAVE: 25 paid holidays per annum plus 8 public holidays

JOB PURPOSE

To be responsible for the recruitment of overseas students for Giggleswick Senior School, Giggleswick International Summer School, Immersion and Foundation courses.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the recruitment of overseas students for all international Giggleswick offerings (which may be subject to change), which are currently Giggleswick Senior School, Giggleswick International Summer School, Immersion and Foundation courses;

• Build effective relationships with all agents in such a way as to ensure Giggleswick recruits pupils of the highest standard;

• Continue to extend the number of agents that engage with the school;

• Plan and oversee a programme of attendance at student recruitment fairs in the UK and overseas;

• Be the principle attendee at all international recruitment events that the school decides to attend; 

• Devise a programme of communication with agents to provide regular updates about the students they have placed, as well as general news from Giggleswick;

• Ensure regulatory compliance for the recruitment of all international students;  

• Ensure effective liaison with the admissions department to ensure a smooth transition with the admissions process and an excellent experience for the pupil at the beginning of their journey with Giggleswick;

• Personally, contribute to the development and promotion of the school;

• Provide regular monthly reports on international recruitment to the Headmaster;

• You will be expected to be fully conversant with and implement the School’s range of equality and diversity and safeguarding policies and procedures, to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all pupils and staff;

• To participate in the School’s appraisal scheme and undergo further professional development in line with the needs of the School; 

• Any other duties commensurate with grade and status as may reasonably be requested.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education & Qualifications

(Essential)

• Educated to degree level;

• Eligible to live and work in the UK;

• Spoken native level of English;

• Passport holder.

(Desirable)

• Enhanced transferable DBS certificate

• A foreign language such as German, Spanish, Chinese.
