Role:

Smart Teachers is presenting a unique opportunity to join our recruitment teams in the role of International Recruitment Consultant. The purpose of the role is to manage the intake and flow of teachers and leaders from Australia into positions throughout the United Kingdom.

Smart Teachers specialise in the attraction, selection and appointment of Primary and Secondary teachers and leaders. Together with Tes Global, we assist schools and teachers throughout Australia, the United Kingdom, China and the Middle East.   Instrumental to our success is Tes.com, the world’s largest online education community supporting over 8 million educators with news, classroom resources and jobs.  Our goal is to find quality teachers for every child and advance the education workforce globally.  

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the attraction and engagement of teachers and school leaders seeking employment in the UK 
• Move candidates through company screening and compliance through to Active Registration so that they can legally work in the United Kingdom. 
• Manage the handover of candidates to relevant recruitment branches throughout the United Kingdom.
• Support the organisation across all events within Australia be it for UK or Australian recruitment.
• Report to management on progress and ongoing business needs 

Key Competencies: 

• Knowledge of recruitment, preferably education recruitment 
• The ability to deliver presentations, lead workshops  
• Manage relationships and communications with colleagues in Australia and the UK 
• Sound verbal and written skills
• The ability to identify candidate acquisition opportunities and build teacher audiences
• The ability to build rapport with teachers 
• Organisation, planning and attention to detail
