Set in the coastal town of Puerto de Santa Maria in Southern Spain, The English Centre is an established school, ranked 1st in Andalusia, that provides its pupils with an outstanding education in English and Spanish. 

We are currently looking to recruit a co-ordinator for our International Curriculum in Primary. This would focus mainly on Literacy and Topic following an International Curriculum adapted to meet their needs but also includes, P.E., Art, Values and Computing.

The English Centre is a co-educational, independent school with two form entry and runs from 2 to 18. Early Years follows the Early Years framework and pupils learn and develop in English. As they move through the school in Primary this is combined with some subject areas in Spanish. 

Our aim is to produce healthy well balanced pupils who reach their full potential. This is carried out in a positive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to participate fully in all areas of school life.

Our teachers must have Qualified Teacher Status for Primary as required by Europe. Unfortunately, we cannot provide for NQTs.

 Founded in 1969 by Linda Randell, The English Centre (El Centro Inglés) is located in Cádiz, Spain. The area of Cádiz is located on the country’s southwestern coast, and has a population of 124,000. The school campus spreads across 18,000 square metres, of which 7,500 is designated classroom space. School facilities include a music room, ICT Suites, laboratory and specialist classrooms, dining room, kitchen, tutorial rooms, reception, bar, indoor hall and assembly hall.

The English Centre is co-educational and secular, and students are taught between the ages of 2-18. The school hosts language immersion Summer Camps, courses abroad and in Language Centres. The Palabramos is a creative writing workshop for 10-18 year olds, and is unique for the Cádiz region. The English Centre identity is founded around the idea that ‘English is Fun’, and utilises modern teaching methods to continually improve language education.
