International Principal

We are currently seeking a whole school International Principal& Head of Fabulinus A-level Programme for Shanghai Thomas School China which was established in August 2018. The successful candidate will prepare high-calibre Chinese students to study at leading world universities, including top UK and US universities. And he will work together with Chinese Principals and focus more on academic affairs. The successful candidate may also be appointed Deputy Principal of Shanghai Thomas School, or be invited to serve as International Principal of Shanghai Thomas School. (Due to Chinese regulations, the Principal of a Chinese school has to be a Chinese citizen.)

Shanghai Thomas School opened in August 2018 as Thomas Schools in China’s second site school and is now a renowned bilingual experimental Primary to Y12 school in Putuo District, Shanghai with strong support from local government. The School has a primary school (year 1 to 2), a middle school (year 6 to year 7) and a high school (year 10 to 12) all on the same campus. Curriculum of the primary and middle school is designed within the scope of the basic requirements of the Chinese national curriculum. It includes many of the STEM subjects of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in the USA, creating an innovative curriculum that is in line with the Chinese national curriculum and national education policy and philosophy. The high school section follows both AP and A-level curriculum. 

It offers K-12 education that integrates outstanding traditional Chinese culture with world-class educational concepts and practices.
