Job overview

We are looking to appoint an Intervention Officer who will work under the guidance of the SENCo to support the planning, delivery and administration of specialist support to identified students and/or groups of students with additional needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo to oversee the development and delivery of individual learning programmes for students, including those accessing the KS3 Hub, as well as assisting to help overcome barriers to learning under the guidance of the SENCo. You will also establish productive working relationships with students, parents, colleagues and external partners and promote and support an inclusive ethos throughout School.

Benton Park School is a mixed, mainstream, non-denominational school located in Rawton, Leeds. The school has a sixth form and admits students aged 11-18.

Benton Park School was founded in 1838 by Joseph Riley. It was built on the grounds of the old Benton Park house. It was demolished in 1957 but rebuilt by Sir John Burnet, Tait and Partners in the late 1950s.
