Intervention Teacher

The Royal School is seeking an aspirational and innovative Intervention teacher to join The Royal Senior School due to its ongoing expansion. The aim of the role is to support the development of teaching and support of pupils with SEND needs in particular at Senior School. The majority of the role is to ensure that pupils who experience barriers to learning have access to high quality discrete small group teaching that is aspirational whist at the same time allowing them to work towards individualised goals. The post would not be suitable for NQTs.

The school is especially interested in teaching staff that have experience in teaching English and Maths either at upper KS2 or at KS 3 level.

As an already successful co-ed independent day and boarding school, we are currently expanding, under our Free School status, in a managed fashion to over 1400 pupils. Alongside the growth in pupil numbers, there is an ongoing expansion and diversification in the curriculum as well as programmes for staff development.

Contribution to the broader curriculum would be an essential part of the role.
