The Sheffield College is seeking enthusiastic, energetic individuals who can demonstrate a passion for helping hard to reach learners in achieving their learning aims whilst enjoying their time at college and reaching their full potential.
In the Intervention Mentor role you will be an excellent role model to young people, supporting them to become independent learners who can reflect on their learning and find their own solutions to problems that inhibit their progress.
Key to this role is the tracking of student attendance and progress, communication with a host of internal departments and external agencies; as well as the implementation of strategies to improve retention and success.
The successful applicant will be educated to a good level and the post will be of interest to those who want to work with young people in an educational setting, working towards removing barriers to learning.
As well reporting to the Learner Success Manager, the successful individual will be working closely with Deputy Heads of Learning, SEND staff as well as liaising with parents and carers.
