Axe Valley Academy is entering a very exciting period in its development. After working in a formal partnership with Holyrood Academy in Chard since April 2016, Axe Valley Academy became part of the Vector Learning Trust on 1 April 2017. We believe that the benefits of working within the Trust and the extra capacity that this will bring will be hugely beneficial to us as we look to further develop the Academy at pace in the coming months and years.
We require Exam Invigilators to join a bank of “casual staff” to assist with our busy examination schedules. The main exam season runs through May and June however internal examinations take place throughout the school year. Morning sessions begin at 9am and afternoon sessions begin at 1pm. Exams vary in duration but can take up to 3 hours, or more in some cases. You will need to be able to stand/walk for up to 3 hours at a time.
You don’t need to be available for mornings and afternoons or even every day. We will seek to offer hours on a rota basis, but you must be available for the entire duration of the exam you are called to invigilate. Full training will be given prior to the first examination.
