Exam Invigilator – Summer 2026 Exam Season
Hurst Lodge School, is an independent special school, dedicated to supporting children aged 7–19 years who have a range of additional needs. This is a casual seasonal post, from the beginning of May to mid June 2026.

Are you looking for a role where you can choose to work flexible hours? Do you have excellent attention to detail? Are you a calming presence and enjoy being part of a collaborative team?
We are looking to increase our team of Exam Invigilators, Scribes and Readers to support the exam processes at Hurst Lodge. You will be working with a dedicated team who are passionate about delivering a professional, procedurally correct exam experience for our pupils.
Responsibilities could include setting up the exam rooms, ensuring pupils receive the appropriate question and answer papers and that the rigorous procedures are followed throughout. Those undertaking Reader responsibilities will read exam instructions and questions aloud, accurately and clearly. Scribes produce accurate, verbatim transcripts of answers dictated by the pupil.

Our next exam period is May/June and various morning or afternoon sessions are available during these periods.
Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive initial training and annual refresher training.
A standard school application form must be completed for this role.
