We are seeking an experienced IT and Network Technician to work within our busy support team. The role involves supporting staff and students with IT queries and requests as well as working to maintain and improve the college servers and networks.

The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver who is always keen to learn. They will be experienced in maintaining critical IT systems and providing excellent IT support to a broad range of users. It will be advantageous for the candidate to demonstrate a knowledge of server virtualisation, current Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, Active Directory, software deployment, PC imaging, wireless, network printing, internet filtering and general networking technologies.

The ability to work independently as well as working as part of the IT team is crucial in this role and it will be important to balance a range of requests from different people.

Members of staff are initially paid for 24 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 29 days after 5 years’ service and have access to a defined benefit pension scheme (LGPS).
