This is an outstanding opportunity to take the lead in developing IT resources and capability at a prestigious independent school.  St Paul’s Girl’s School is investing extensively in its IT infrastructure alongside several ambitious building projects.  We require an experienced and visionary IT specialist who can advise on, plan and manage the strategic development of IT within the school, and ensure seamless and efficient service delivery.

The broad-ranging responsibilities of this exciting role include:

  • Managing a committed team of specialist staff
  • Advising on IT strategy, policy and priorities
  • Promoting IT innovation within the curriculum
  • Effectively managing database/information systems (ISAMS, PASS, Raiser’s Edge, Timetabler)
  • Developing and managing communication systems across the school
  • Ensuring fast and reliable networking and access
  • Drafting and managing IT budgets

St Paul’s Girls’ School is one of the country’s leading independent secondary day schools for girls aged 11-18.  Housed in a grade II listed buildings on Brook Green, and with nearby hard courts, playing field, and swimming pool, the school provides excellent facilities and is easily accessed by public transport (zone 2).

Requirements

Applicants will have significant managerial and IT experience, preferably gained in an educational or charity environment, and sound, up-to-date knowledge of current IT practice and applications.  Strategic thinking and the ability to plan and manage complex projects are key skills.  Alongside high standards of professionalism, candidates will also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing abilities.
