An opportunity has arisen for a professional, knowledgeable and hardworking individual, to join ACET, a forward thinking and rapidly developing multi-academy trust, in the role of IT Network Manager.

The IT Network Manager will support the Trust by ensuring a suitable ICT infrastructure, including all required hardware, software, as well as ensuring reliability and resolutions via the IT Support Servicedesk.  The post-holder, in liaison with the Estates Manager, CEO and other senior Trust leaders, will take a lead role in the selection, implementation and management of information technologies to achieve the Trust’s ICT Strategic Plan. S/he will be mindful at all times of the need to secure best value for the Trust.

The post-holder will manage effective support, implementation and maintenance of ICT infrastructure and desktop provision across the trust, maximising the teaching and learning opportunities for all students. S/he will lead a team of ICT technicians, including recruitment and selection, training, development and performance management.  

Pro-active analysis of current and future ICT requirements, together with identification and specification of a range of appropriate solutions will form a key part of the role.

The post-holder will be overseeing the ICT provision across the Trust, and therefore will need to be flexible in working in working in our academies, which are located in Rotherham, Sheffield and north Derbyshire.
