Health Futures is an exciting new school which opened in a multi-million pound building in September 2015. We are pleased to offer this post of IT Network Manager. Working to the Director of Operations, you will be a dynamic, customer focussed individual who is capable of liaising with teachers and support staff to offer a first class IT support service to the whole UTC community, ensuring its smooth operation and working as part of an effective team.
The UTC has a fleet of MS windows based computers and Apple and Android mobile devices, providing curriculum and administrative support, via wired and wireless Server based networks. Additional equipment, including but not limited to CCTV, Triple Play Screens, 4D immersive space and audio-visual systems fall under the remit of the IT Network Manager. The IT Network Manager is responsible for leading, managing and supporting all technical aspects of both curriculum and administrative IT functions within the UTC, working closely with the IT Support Service Contractors.
This is a full time role with 30 days paid annual holiday entitlement. However, this could be negotiable for the right candidate. The hours worked may require you to be flexible within a normal overall envelope of 8:00am to 5:30pm, if you have constraints on the times that you can be available please indicate this clearly in your application.
You will be an effective user of ICT with a high level of accuracy, a strong eye for detail and a good communicator. Established with the backing of the University of Wolverhampton and in partnership with a wide range of health sector employer partners, including all West Midlands NHS Trusts, WM Ambulance Service and the Mid-counties Co-operative Pharmacy, Health Futures is responding to the identified skills gap that is preventing local young people taking up the varied and valuable career paths in this sector.
