Sedbergh School is now looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Technician to work on IT support across both our Senior School at Sedbergh, and Prep School at Casterton. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for IT, be self-motivated and enjoy providing excellent customer service.

Previous technical IT exposure or experience is highly favorable, preferably in an operational or educational environment providing excellent front-line customer support. We would also consider a recent graduate from an IT qualification/course, who is looking to be trained further in a practical environment. It is essential that you have a broad technical knowledge of IT, however, onsite training in the School’s systems will be provided in the various aspects of the role.

The post requires someone with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, who is able to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. A strong sense of customer service and a demonstrable history of excellent customer-facing skills will be an advantage.

In exchange the School will offer:

  •  Competitive salary;
  •  Contributory Pension Scheme – to include life cover while remaining within the scheme;

  •  Ride2Work;
  •  Opportunity to see School productions;
  •  Staff events and family fun days!

About Sedbergh School

The magnificent location of Sedbergh means pupils can enjoy school life in a safe, healthy and dynamic environment. The opportunities for outdoor activities are almost unlimited - from a walk in the hills to mountain biking, or the calm of fishing to the challenge of caving. While academic study is central for every pupil the experiences of a Sedberghian are not confined to the classroom .

 Sedbergh is a School where pupils are presented  with a huge range of opportunity. It is a School which expects its pupils to seize the opportunity or, better, create the opportunity. It is our firm belief that it is much better to try something and fail rather than avoiding something because of the fear of failing. This culture ultimately breeds a positive attitude and greatly increases the likelihood of success.
