IT Technician

Grade/Range: NJC Scale 5, SCP 12-16

Salary: £26,544 to £28,509

Working Pattern:  Full Time – 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Accountable to: IT Service Manager

Location: Based at City of London Academy Shoreditch Park with the requirement to travel to various locations across the Trust within London as needed.

The City of London Academy, Shoreditch Park is a brand-new school that opened in September 2017. Our students are expected to work hard and to show dedication and commitment to their studies, without exception. When full, we will have capacity for 1140 students, all enjoying state of the art resources and inspiring learning opportunities. Situated in the heart of Hackney with the thriving, bustling area of Shoreditch right on our doorstep, City of London Academy Shoreditch Park has excellent transport links with Bethnal Green (central line), Cambridge Heath and Hoxton (Overground) stations a short walk away.

This is very exciting time to join our newly established and growing Trust shared IT Services Team, with Technology at the heart of maintaining our foundations of excellence. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated IT Technician with exceptional customer service and troubleshooting skills to help support and shape our IT Service.

You will be primarily based onsite at City of London Academy Shoreditch Park, providing effective and customer focused IT support to students, staff and stakeholders.

You will require excellent communication skills both oral and written are an essential part of the role in order to manage and develop excellent working relationships with IT partners and Trust schools, senior leaders and staff. This being essential to enabling the effective delivery of the service and ensure service is tailored and meets the needs of each school
