Job overview

Farleigh School seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and approachable IT Technician, to provide an excellent level of support to the school community by deploying and maintaining IT equipment, troubleshooting and assisting in all areas relating to our information technology.

The successful candidate will:

·        Have previous experience of working within an IT department

·        Be confident in supporting staff and students in the use of Office 365, iSAMS, Mac OS, Windows (client) and other relevant applications

·        Have basic Network knowledge and skills

·        Be educated to Level 3 in a relevant IT/ICT qualification or have the equivalent skill level by dint of experience

·        Have strong planning and organisational skills, with a flexible approach to task management

·        Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with staff and students

·        Have the ability to work as part of a team

·        Be self-motivated, able to multi-task and demonstrate initiative

·        Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to enthuse and motivate others

·        Be willing to uphold and support the Catholic ethos of the school

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday, all year round. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support school events.

The successful candidate will receive a renumeration package which includes:

·        A salary between £24,000 and £28,000 per annum, dependent on skills, experience and qualifications at the time of appointment

·        28 days’ paid holiday entitlement plus bank holidays
