Rickmansworth School has a Good Ofsted rating with excellent CPD opportunities.   The School is expanding and has £3.5m investment for 2018.  We have an outstanding wellbeing programme offering childcare vouchers, flu jabs, access to the fitness suite and swimming pool, Pilate's and yoga classes, free eye tests, to name but a few.

Immediate start for an IT Technician/Assistant looking to assist in the management of the School’s computer network.  Reporting to the Network Manager/IT Services Manager, the successful applicant will maintain and troubleshoot PCs, replenish consumables, install software and hardware, and manage user accounts.  

The School has some 500 PCs running Windows 7 Enterprise, Microsoft Office 2013/ 2016 and a large portfolio of other software on a single network with 4 physical servers and 25 Virtual servers running Windows Server 2012 R2. There are 8 specialist computer suites and all teaching rooms have network access. There is a wireless network throughout the School and some 61 interactive whiteboards. The School gains access to the internet through the Herts Grid for Learning which provides internet filtering.  

A good knowledge of Microsoft Windows in a Networked environment is required together with PC  maintenance skills. Experience of Windows Server 2012 and virtual servers would be an advantage, as would experience of troubleshooting problems in a networked environment.
