Job overview

Giggleswick School is seeking to appoint an IT Technician to join its friendly and hardworking IT team in the School's IT Department. Giggleswick is a proud Microsoft Showcase School which is supported by a professional and busy IT department which comprises two IT Technicians, managing all aspects of the School’s IT Infrastructure and the daily requests of a busy day and boarding school.

The post holder is expected to uphold the values and ethos of Giggleswick School and act as an ambassador for the School.

The IT Technician will provide support to pupils and staff, face-to-face and over the phone, whilst also supporting the school’s Infrastructure and Services. The Technician will proactively resolve tickets where possible, ensuring that all incidents are resolved in a timely manner, keeping end users and stakeholders informed at all times.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to deliver excellent customer service and show maximum effort, aiming to always exceed expectations.

The IT Technician role will also operate as an onsite point of contact for third-party projects as and when required.
