Due to the retirement of the current postholder, the Colchester Teacher Training Consortium wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and well organised professional to lead the strategic development of Initial Teacher Training with particular responsibility for Secondary ITT in order to achieve the highest quality, effective and successful training programmes with our partner schools.

CTTC and CCHSG are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check by the DBS.

About Colchester County High School for Girls

Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust.  It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted "Outstanding".  Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students to the Sixth Form.  The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site.  Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
