FTE £21,815 - £23,014 (Actual £18,680 - £19,706) Based on term time only (39 weeks per year)
We are seeking an efficient, reliable and ambitious individual with the experience to become our Cover Supervisor.
The role will involve supervising whole classes during short-term absence of teachers. This role will also involve supporting internal withdrawal from lessons and the Inclusion Room.
Main responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring students work in a calm and secure environment and manage the behaviour of students while undertaking work.
• Collecting any completed work after the lessons and returning it to the appropriate teacher.
• Supporting the use of ICT where appropriate and making appropriate use of equipment and resources.
When not needed to perform Cover Supervision for short-term absence, the post holder will be expected to work, as part of the inclusion team, on resource materials for use in faculty areas to enable students to continue their learning when class teachers are absent on a temporary basis.
You will have the ability to plan effectively, think strategically and display excellent attention to detail. Being able to build positive relationships and communicate at all levels, you will have previous experience in supporting learners with specific needs as well as a good understanding of the school curriculum, age related expectations of learners, teaching methods and testing/assessment arrangements.
If you can prioritise and manage to tight deadlines, have excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office and are dedicated with a flexible attitude to work then apply now.
