Job overview

Full Time, Fixed Term until June 2020.

Truro and Penwith College has a number of vacancies across a range of new European Social Fund (ESF) projects, which will address skills gaps and support individuals with training and information, advice and guidance across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

ESF AMBITIONS

The Ambitions project supports unemployed or inactive 15 – 24 year olds in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to help them progress into education, employment or training.  Ambitions is fully funded by the European Social Fund.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the ESF Ambitions project team to provide a central point for work placements and to support young people to find and access employment opportunities. The post holder should have excellent administrative skills as they will be required to maintain a database and provide administrative support to report on the Ambitions project outputs. The ideal candidate would possess an Information, Advice and Guidance qualification at Level 3 or a relevant apprenticeship and have experience of, or interest in, project work and employability. This base for this post would be the Penwith campus in Penzance, however the successful candidate would be required to work across both the Truro and Penwith campuses.

Application forms, job descriptions and details of how to apply for the above post are available online at https://www.truro-penwith.ac.uk/work-for-us or via email recruitment@truro-penwith.ac.uk

Closing date: 12 Noon, Monday, 10 September 2018

Curriculum Vitae are not accepted, Application Forms only.

Successful candidates will be notified within 4 weeks of the closing date.

Truro and Penwith College is an Equal Opportunities Employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Building on the best individual traditions of both centres, the merged Truro & Penwith College has a local and national reputation as an institution which is lively, innovative, demands high standards of its learners, but is also caring and supportive of individuals.
