Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our small team of Joiners, part of our busy Estates team, covering the whole of Wakefield Grammar School Foundation.  

This role involves the maintenance and construction work for all Foundation schools and properties, in addition to more creative work such as the design and building of bespoke items and the construction of scenery and props for school productions.  

Applicants should have the ability to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be able to prioritise workloads, adapting to changing demands.   

Candidates should evidence a wide range of joinery and maintenance work and hold a NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience.  

This is a full time post working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week 8.00 am to 4.00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.    

The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
