Junior ICT Technician, Term time plus 2 weeks, £13,209 per annum
We currently have a vacancy within our dynamic Academy for an enthusiastic person to assist in offering general support to the IT network. This is a part time position and you would be required to work 36 hours a week, 41 weeks a year. The salary is £13,209 a year, with a pay award pending.
You must have a strong interest in computing; however, no previous experience is necessary as full training and support will be given.
We are well resourced and ICT facilities are excellent throughout the school. Currently in ICT we have four specialist PC suites, one Mac suite and a number of subject PC clusters which support studies in the thirteen Curriculum Areas. A total of 400 desktop and laptop PCs are linked to the school’s network. In addition, we have interactive white boards in each classroom. We are currently developing our use of Apple Technology and we have around 1,500 student and staff iPads in school. The network team consists of a Network Manager, Assistant Network Manager, two Junior Technicians and a Network Administrator. We also have a Digital Learning and Resources Co-ordinator who produces in-house resources.
The school has a very strong team ethos and although everyone works very hard, it is a fun and supportive environment. We have a highly commended induction programme, mentor support for new staff.
