We have an opportunity for a fully inclusive leader to join our Junior School as Learning Support Co-ordinator. This is a vital role in our Junior School and requires a leader that is professional, child centred, effective, adaptable and hardworking. We are looking for someone with a strong background in SEND, EAL and SEMH as we take a holistic approach at Brighton College Al Ain to Learning Support.

The Learning Support Co-ordinator in the Junior School, with the support of the Director of Learning Support and Leadership team, takes responsibility for the day–to–day operation of provision made by the school for pupils that have additional needs requiring support to effectively access the curriculum. They will provide professional guidance in the areas of EAL, SEMH, HLP and specific learning difficulties, in order to secure high quality teaching and the effective use of resources to bring about improved standards of achievement.

Applications are invited from first rate leaders that have experience of middle leadership and are practitioners in the field of inclusion who hold a relevant degree and associated qualifications, with more than two years of teaching experience and a clear understanding of the British curriculum. We are looking for someone who blends creativity and rigour in their approach to supporting learning, is highly committed and possesses excellent organisational and communication skills. All members of staff are expected to provide extra-curricular activities and will also be required to contribute to the wider community life of Brighton College.
