Queen’s Gate is a thriving GSA day school for girls aged 4 –18 and is ideally situated in Central London to take advantage of the many educational opportunities on offer. The Junior School occupies its own buildings in Queen’s Gate within close proximity of the Senior School with which it enjoys close links, including the use of specialist staff and facilities.

We wish to appoint from 1st September 2019, a suitably qualified Music specialist to the position of Music Co-ordinator in our Junior School.  The successful candidate will be required to teach Music throughout the Junior School and possibly in the lower end of the Senior School, as well as leading a range of extra-curricular musical activities in the Junior School. He/she will need to be a competent pianist and ideally also play an orchestral string instrument.  Passion for Music, flexibility, a willingness to work as part of a team and a sense of humour are all desirable attributes. Experience of independent schools would be an advantage.  This is a part-time position (60% of full-time).

About Queen's Gate School

Queen's Gate School is an all-through independent day school for girls aged 4-18, housed in five Victorian buildings in South Kensington, London. There are around 500 pupils on roll, with a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of the city.

Queen's Gate School was founded in 1891 by Miss Eleanor Beatrice Wyatt in her parents' home. The present site was acquired in 2005. The school is an educational trust overseen by a board of governors.
