The Portsmouth Grammar Junior School is a leading co-educational day school located in the historic heart of Portsmouth.

The Head and Deputy Head’s PA is responsible for providing comprehensive and confidential administrative, secretarial and organisational support to the Head and the Deputy Head of the Junior School . The successful candidate will have experience of a similar role within a professional environment. 

The post is full-time (37.5 hours Monday – Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm, with an unpaid 30 minutes for lunch), PGS school term times plus 4 weeks in the holidays.  

A flexible approach is essential to be able to support occasional evening or weekend meetings and events and to work additional hours where necessary. 

The start date is expected to be mid  / late August 2019 to prepare for the start of term in September and this can be discussed further at interview.

The successful candidate will have excellent IT and database management skills and a commitment to outstanding levels of customer service.

A DBS check at enhanced level will be required.

ISI Report 2022

During an ISI Inspection in late 2022 both the achievement of the pupils, including their academic development and the personal development of the pupils were found to be excellent - the highest possible classification. The Inspection also looked at the School’s compliance with the regulatory standards and requirements. PGS met all the standards required.
