Junior School Sports Teacher

The Role

The Junior School is seeking outstanding Sports Teachers for an August 2022 start. The right candidates will be highly committed, enthusiastic and adaptable team players with the drive, energy and passion to maximise their students’ growth in sport and healthy living within this forward-looking school. 

Applicants must be able to lead one of the focus sports within the Junior School. They should be willing to lead by example and play a full part in the College’s pastoral care and extra-curricular programme. They will have already demonstrated at least two to three years’ professional growth and development and should be passionate about providing a world-class sports pathway to all students within the College.

The Junior School

Our Junior School caters for 880 enthusiastic learners aged between 7 and 11. We build upon the excellent foundations laid in DUCKS, and develop the depth of academic knowledge, as well as the life skills and mindset needed to prepare students for the best possible successes in our Senior School. We want children to leave Year 6 as motivated, independent and collaborative learners. Everything we do is underpinned by a culture of safety and wellbeing for all members of the community.

We value subject knowledge as a foundation for deeper conceptual understanding, delivered through an inquiry approach to learning. To support this every student has access to a device. Our curriculum and timetable values a breadth of disciplines that includes traditionally academic subjects as well as STEM and visual and performance arts. Teachers are supported to develop areas of expertise within this model.
