The International School Basel (ISB) is an English-language international day school for students from ages 3 to 18. ISB is home to approximately 1,400 students who enjoy modern purpose-built facilities on three campuses clustered a few kilometers south of Basel in the towns of Reinach and Aesch. ISB is an International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for younger students aged 3 to 11, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11 to 16 and the Diploma Programme (DP) for students in the final two years of their school careers. ISB is accredited by both the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

ISB is currently seeking two warm and inspiring Junior School Teachers. The successful candidate will be committed to the delivery of high quality teaching practices and to encouraging and motivating students to achieve their full potential. In addition to excellent work within the classroom, you have an enthusiasm for further professional development. You are optimistic, reliable, energetic and reflective. You respond flexibly to the needs of colleagues, students, and parents. In addition to working with students, you will have demonstrated a commitment to working effectively as part of a dynamic team of professionals both in and out of the classroom. Your application should include: Letter of Application (2 pages maximum); up-to-date Curriculum Vitae; and names and contact details of at least two (although three is preferred) professional referees who have line-managed you: one of whom must be your current Head of School (if this poses major difficulties, please state reasons in your letter of application). If you have been at your current school for less than 2 years, one of your referees must also be the Head of your previous school. Referees will be contacted once a candidate has accepted an invitation to interview for the role. For registered Search Associates candidates, ISB will download your Search Associates file (including References) directly.

Due to work permit restrictions, preference will be given to candidates of EU/Swiss nationalities and candidates who hold a current Swiss work permit.
